This notice covers the Cargoo service. Visiting this website does not create an account and does not involve the product data described below.

This website

This website is an information site. It has no forms, no analytics, no client-side tracking and no sign-in, it does not ask you for personal data, and it sets no cookies. Like any website, it is delivered by a hosting service. Delivering and protecting a website normally involves processing technical information about requests, such as the address a request came from and what was requested. We do not use that information to build a profile of you, and it is kept only for as long as is reasonably necessary to run and protect the site.

Data used by the Cargoo service

The Cargoo service uses the following, to the extent the feature in question is used:

• Account and identity data — name, username, email address and telephone number, so an account can exist and you can be reached.
• Profile data — account type, optional business details and a profile photo.
• Marketplace data — transport requests, offers, trips and credit transactions, so the service can match freight and keep a record of what was agreed.
• Location — used to show where a delivery is while it is happening. For carriers this includes location collected in the background during an active delivery, and it stops when the delivery ends or is cancelled.
• Camera and uploaded content — where a feature lets you take or upload a photo, that image is processed to provide the feature.
• Notification tokens — a device identifier used to deliver push notifications.
• Usage data — access records and actions taken in the service.

Why we use it

To match freight with carriers, to show delivery location while a delivery is active, to send notifications, to manage credits, to sign you in, to answer support requests, to improve the service, and to meet legal obligations.

On what basis

We process personal data because it is needed to provide the service you asked for. Where a feature needs a specific permission on your device — location, camera or notifications — we process that data because you granted the permission, and you can withdraw it at any time in your device settings.

Our service is operated from Mozambique for users in Mozambique. We do not claim compliance with any foreign data-protection regime, and we do not cite provisions that do not apply to us.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only for as long as is reasonably necessary to provide the service or to meet a legal obligation. When an account is deleted, the personal data associated with it is deleted, except what we are required to keep.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only where the service requires it: with other users, where the service depends on it — a client and a carrier see what they need in order to arrange a delivery; with service providers who help us operate, in the categories of hosting and email support; with authorities, where the law requires it.

Your choices and requests

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete your account and the data associated with it. Permissions you granted on your device — location, camera, notifications — can be withdrawn at any time in your device settings. Write to privacy@velka.co.mz.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections, and access to it is limited to what operating the service requires.
